Skipton Town Ladies 9 Ossett Town Ladies Reserves 0

SKIPTON Town signed off their final home game of the season with a club-record league victory.

Besides being a personal triumph for striker Sophie Hawkins who destroyed the Ossett defence with eight goals, the whole Skipton team played some of their best football of the season.

Skipton were 6-0 up at half-time and Hawkins had scored all of them, with good supply of ball to her coming from Jess Wootton on the right wing and Louise Forster on the left.

Credit should be given to the Ossett keeper who pulled off a number of sharp saves to minimise the damage.

In the second half Skipton played most of their substitutes, and Lisa Dawson used her fresh legs to keep Skipton moving forward with some well played passes.

Skipton striker Shelby Lawson worked tirelessly throughout the game and was rewarded with a close-range headed goal and Hawkins added a further two.
