DANNY Boyle showed just why Barnoldswick Town were so keen to re-sign him with a hat-trick in Saturday’s friendly.
Boyle provided the finishing touches as his side proved too strong for a youthful Nelson outfit.
Town, who had won their opening friendly against Skelmersdale United 1-0, were quickly into their stride.
They went ahead after only seven minutes when Joel Melia netted and they extended their lead when Boyle opened his account after 28 minutes.
The second half saw Town continue to dominate and further goals after 71 and 82 minutes gave Boyle his hat-trick.
