SILSDEN top the Hallmark Security Division One table outright after their fifth straight win, which came in a 2-0 success away to Chadderton last night.

Second-half goals from Niall Sultan and Chris Wademan ensured the Cobbydalers kept their 100 per cent record going in a match played at Atherton Collieries.

Nicky McNally came close twice to giving the visitors the lead in the early stages but was thwarted by keeper Daniel Havern, who enjoyed an impressive game.

Sultan also tested Havern before McNally hit the post after a great ball from Joe Gaughan after 25 minutes.

At the other end, Josh Kaine's reading of the game ensured Chadderton's attacks were largely snuffed out, though Tom Hughes and Vincent Howell went close.

Silsden took the lead on 68 minutes when Wademan found Sultan, who produced a cool finish.

Sub Mark Trueman went on a mazy run, beating four men, before his side made it 2-0 on 80 minutes.

Wademan dragged two men out wide before cutting in on his left and producing a great finish into the roof of the net from a tight angle.

Gaughan was denied a third by another fabulous save from Havern but it couldn't spoil Silsden's night.
