Division One Leaders Oakworth faced a tricky trip to Crossflatts but won by three wickets.

The Ryshworth Park side made 150, with Mohammed Adil scoring 54 as Jack Davison took 4-24 and Steve Filkin (4-46).

In reply, Oakworth were struggling at 117-7 before skipper Michael Scarborough (31no) was joined by Filkin (20no) to get their side over the line with three overs to spare.

Cullingworth are six points behind the leaders after amassing 218-4 in their 33-run win at Bradley, with skipper Steve Welch making 90no and John Terry (33).

The South Craveners made a brave reply which was typified by their last pair Matt Buckmaster (37) and Casper Bean (31) as David Robinson claimed 5-81 off 22 overs.

Next-to-bottom Thornton rattled up 203-9 at home but that wasn’t enough to save them from defeat against Haworth.

Rob Foster scored a superb 108 for Thornton as Derek Bright claimed 3-44 and Damian Rowell (3-53).

The Bronte side got home by two wickets with eight balls to spare, with Jamie Rowell making 85no and Nick Trowers (50).

David Wellock (72) and Duncan Ward (49) helped Embsay set a target of 184-7 at Barrowford.

The Bull Holme side then galloped home by seven wickets in 32.3 overs with in-form Nick Burton making 60 not out and Ajmal Choudrhy (56).

The Division Two front-runners Riddlesden had a comfortable seven-wicket win at Long Lee and returned home with three points.

The Golden View side made a moderate 139, with skipper Paul Stowell top scoring with 59 as M Qadeer took 4-31. G Ayoub (65) and A Raza (37) put on 103 for the first wicket as the Grange Road side cruised home.

Four points behind are Cowling, who were in impressive form at home to Barrowford II.

The hosts rattled up 277-5, with Steve Richardson making 78 Graham Rishton (67) and Charlie Hassan (40). The Bull Holme side closed on 142 as the impressive Martyn Dalby claimed 7-58.

Mark Price (50), Dale Hoyle (37no) and Phil Broadley (34) helped Ingrow to 215-9 at Glusburn but the Park Field side knocked off the runs for the loss of six wickets, with N Freeman scoring 54 and Nick Williamson (50).

Sutton’s top three batters made 192 but the rest only made 36 against Oakworth II. David Snowden hit five sixes and 15 fours in a majestic knock of 131, Chris Williams scored 32 and Craig Thornton (29). Ollie Stell (6-44) and Chris Mooney (4-51) were the best bowlers.

The out-of-sorts Oakworth side could only manage 143-7 in reply, with Matty Lee scoring 50no as seasoned campaigner David Holds-worth took 4-39.

Haworth West End built on an opening partnership of 211 by Josh Holt (104) and Sam Chipman (96) to post a massive 326-5 – the day’s highest score – at home to Crossflatts II.

James Bairstow made 50 and Brian Freimanis 48 as the Ryshworth Park side closed on 166-9, with Owen Palmer taking 4-33.

Chatburn and Wilsden II are joint leaders of Division Three.

Wilsden II were at Cononley, who made 217-5, with Herbie Starkey scoring 77 and Joel Grainger (31no.) Wilsden dashed to a stunning four-wicket victory, with skipper Robert Greenwood making 96 not out.

Bradford & Bingley III are third after hammering Gargrave by nine wickets at Aire View.

Nick Smith took 8-27 in 15 overs as the Skipton Road side slumped to 61 all out. The hosts only required 9.5 overs to take the points.

Embsay II are fourth after beating Eldwick & Gilstead by seven wickets at Shires Lane.

The visitors started off quite well and were 74-3 off 13 overs but lost seven wickets adding another 50 runs, J Keighley top-scoring with 37.

Sandy Lane’s poor form continued as they lost by 17 runs at home to Ingrow St John’s II.

S Hussain took 5-39 for the winners and Chris Mitchell (5-54) for the losers.

Skipton CI are nine points clear at in Division Four after seeing off Bingley Congs II by seven wickets at Beckfoot Lane. Charlie Raistrick scored 81 as the hosts made 169.

The dependable John Stuttard took 4-65 off 17 overs. before Ian Henderson with a super 110no led the Sandylands side to the points in only the 26th over.

Cullingworth II are second after they humbled Bradley II by nine wickets.

Juniors Will Rankin (3-7) and Charlie Hall (3-12) together with Martin Rendell (3-18) had the visitors back in the hut for 47. The home side romped home in six overs with M Walker scoring 39no.

Glusburn II were at Ingrow II and dismissed them for a modest 46, with evergreen Bryan Hollis taking 6-17 and Rummy Smith 3-11. The Park Field side lost five wickets before getting home.

Bottom side Haworth went down again, at home to Thornton. The Bronte side were dismissed for 116 (Dave Walsh 35) before the Booth Bridge Laners won by nine wickets.

Riddlesden II had an off day at home to Long Lee II, losing by 37 runs, Neil Kennedy taking 6-27 for the winners. Division Five leaders Oakworth III, made 195-8 at Gargrave II with Ben Fothergill hitting 89 and Sam Nettleton (37) as Rob Storr claimed 4-41.

Gargrave were hustled out for 129 despite under-14 player James Ward making a stylish 51.

Second-placed Denholme II re- ceived three points when Sandy Lane II couldn’t raise a side as did Sutton II against Haworth WE II.

Foulridge II made 145 at home to Cononley II with T Ellacott making 35 as P Hogg took 3-29. The visitors could only manage 114 in reply with Richard Mansell making 27.

l This year’s game for the Manorlands Plate featured Craven League players who represented Yorkshire and Lancashire at Ingrow, and the match was an excellent advert for the league.

Yorkshire skipper Neil Copping (Bingley Congs) won the toss and decided to bat. His side responded by making 310-8 in 40 overs to lay the foundations for a 143-run win.

Leading the way was Mohammed Zahid (Haworth Road), who scored a magnificent 104, which included four sixes and 14 fours He added 146 for the second wicket with Gareth Marshall (Oakworth).

Marshall’s 84 included five sixes and ten fours from 55 balls, while Copping made a 16-ball 35.

The Red Rose were rocked back, losing two wickets for 14 but John Price (Chatburn) made 38 (three sixes, three fours) in getting the score to 60.

Skipper Nick Burton (Barrowford) dropped anchor and was seventh out for 29 with the score on 92.

Andy Booth (Chatburn) made a belligerent 60 (ten fours, two sixes) which just delayed defeat. Copping took 3-9 and Mark Price (Ingrow) 2-18 as the Red Rose were all out for 167.
