Bradley threw away a golden chance to stay in Division One as the dust finally settled on the 2013 season and the remaining promotion and relegation issues were decided.

Of the four sides in the relegation battle, only Thornton managed a victory.

They were at home to Ingrow St John’s, who batted first and posted 194 with Ahtasham Raza (67) leading the way assisted by M Ali (43) as Chris Heald took 4-64.

The Booth Bridge Lane side raced to a five-wicket win in 35.5 overs as Chris Bowker made 83no and veteran Kevin Pollard (37).

Next-to-bottom Embsay hosted Bingley Congs, who made 194-7 going first as Mick Brooksbank (75) and Chris Hemsley (63) put on 120 for the second wicket, with Scott Robinson taking 4-68.

Only Josh Robinson (41) and Dave Wellock (27) reached double figures for the hosts as they made a disappointing reply of 104, with Neil Copping taking 4-34.

That defeat ensured Foulridge were safe whatever their result at champions Oakworth. The Noyna side went first and made a moderate 148 thanks to James Lickess (39) and John Lambert (40) as Jack Davison claimed 4-11 and Gareth Marshall (4-41).

Oakworth took 37.2 overs to reach their target for the loss of two wickets, Marshall making 64no and Joel Gallagher (40no).

All eyes then turned to Bradley, where Barrowford were the visitors. The Bull Holme side made 172, with J Mohammed scoring 65 and David Flounders 49 as Casper Bean took 4-47 and Tim Rudden (3-38), the last five wickets falling for just 11 runs.

The Matthews Lane side were seemingly heading for the points after an opening stand of 99.

But they suffered an horrendous collapse as all ten wickets fell for the addition of just 22 runs, with Mohammed taking 5-20 and Ajmal Choudrhy (5-28) after skipper James Heseltine had scored 65 and Chris Capstick (33).

Haworth gave Cullingworth a rousing send-off as they rattled up a massive 303-8 at West Lane, with Jamie Rowell making 59, Damian Rowell (56), Adie Parker (55) and Phil Clayton (52), including seven sixes. Cullingworth managed just 143 in reply.

Crossflatts got the better of Haworth Road at Rhysworth Park. Going first they made 162, despite Andy Maude taking 5-80 and Mohammed Adil (4-61).

The Baildon Bottom team replied with 95 as R Ayub claimed a hat-trick in his 6-21 and M Adil took 4-35.

Cowling claimed the Division Two title after Graham Rishton starred in a topsy-turvy game at Long Lee.

The Golden View hosts quickly found themselves 8-4 before Jonathan Green (40) started a recovery which was carried on by Jamie Robinson (58no), Matty Stowell (24) and Tom Gill (35).

Last-man Gill put on 74 for the tenth wicket with Robinson as Martyn Dalby finished with 5-77 and Steve Richardson (3-75), the innings closing on 206.

Rishton’s 73 led the successful reply, aided by M Saqab (33), Mark Adams (32) and Richardson (30), as the visitors got home by three wickets with 11 balls left.

Riddlesden are also promoted, despite going down by ten runs at Ingrow.

A third-wicket stand of 95 by Sean Humphreys (67 – two sixes and 11 fours) and Lee Humphreys (46) saw the Hainworth side to 189-8 (Adam Khan 5-32).

Riddlesden got off to a rapid start with Mohammed Shanawaz making 54 with five sixes. Then Ingrow skipper Mark Price entered the fray and took 6-48 off 13 overs.

The drama was not quite done as Jamie Fullwood made 31no, including two massive sixes, to put on 35 for the last wicket but it wasn’t enough.

Glusburn hosted Oakworth II and hustled them out for 114, with Nick Williamson taking 6-27 as Drew Duffy top-scored with 54.

The Park Field side galloped home by nine wickets in the 19th over, with Steve Brown scoring 72no and Neil Freeman (34no).

Sutton travelled to Barnoldswick and shot out Pendle Forest for a paltry 36 as Rob Walker took 5-13 and Justin Holdsworth (4-20). The Royd Hill team sauntered home by nine wickets.

Division Three champions Chat- burn were gifted three points when Haworth West End were unable to raise a side.

But runners-up Sandy Lane had Andy Blackburn in peak form with a superb 115 in their total of 186.

Dave Critchlow picked up 7-19 in ten overs for opponents Bradford & Bingley III, who replied with 160 – of which A Dobson made 60 as Jimmy Dennison claimed 4-43.

Embsay II finished third following a stunning eight-wicket win at Conon-ley, who rattled up 225-6 in their overs after being 0-2 early on. Herbie Starkey made a battling 81, Michael Beer (48no) and Andrew Starkey (39).

The Shires Laners found themselves 9-2 before Jonathan Coward, with a magnificent 135no, and Neil Robinson (79no) put on 217 for the third wicket to take the points.

Eldwick & Gilstead went down by one wicket to Ingrow St John’s II, a defeat that sees them being relegated.

Also going down are Crossflatts II, who were at Gargrave. R Freeman (38) and extras (30) were the main contributors to the Skipton Road side’s 127 as Bob Scott took 4-8 and Mick Addy (3-12).

The Ryshworth Park outfit were undone by a super spell by Will Smith of 5-0 in 7.1 overs.

Haworth Road II received three points when Wilsden II were unable to raise a side.

Division Four champions Skipton CI were in an uncharitable mood as they hosted bottom side Bradley II.

The youthful Matthews Lane side were dismissed for just 51, with Harry Andrews top-scoring on just 16 as John Drake took 6-27 and D Pompey (4-24). The Sandylands outfit coasted to a ten-wicket victory.

In a low-scoring game at Booth Bridge Lane, visitors Glusburn II were restricted to 89 as Maurice Oldfield took 4-35 and Will Procter 4-36.

Thornton II struggled to a three-wicket win, with Tim Gates making 37 as Paul McCullough took 6-33.

Oakworth III took the Division Five championship by virtue of a better run rate than Denholme II, who were promoted as well.

The Bronte Fields side beat Cononley II by nine wickets. J Fothergill (5-9) and Michael Davidson (4-30) saw the visitors back in the hut for 102. Then Sam Nettleton (73no) sealed the title.

Denholme’s battle with Gargrave II at Keighley Road decided who went up with Oakworth and it was the home side who prevailed by 25 runs as Adrian Shires (48), Cameron Foster (4-39) and Ian Spencer (3-30) did the business.
