DIVISION One leaders Oakworth warmed up for the Wynn Cup final with a seven-wicket win at Embsay.

In a 25 overs per side game, the hosts were restricted to 84 in 22.3 overs as Adam Smith and Steve Filkin both finished with 3-28. It took the Cure Hill side only 13.5 overs to reach their target.

At Riddlesden, second-placed Ingrow St John’s were in good form again.

In a 27 overs-per-side game, Riddlesden make 152-9, with No 10 Mohammed Zulfiqar hitting a quickfire 32 as Nadeem Safdar claimed 7-54 off 12 overs.

The reply was stunning as the Saints lost only one wicket as they galloped home in the 22nd over. Omar Khatab led the way with 76 not out, assisted by Imran Zaman (45no).

Jamie Rowell hit 93 as lowly Haworth put some daylight between themselves and the bottom two.

Damian Rowell made 51 not out as the Bronte side posted 170-7 in 33 overs against bottom side Cowling, with Banaras Hussain taking 4-74.

Seven Cowling batters got into double figures but no-one was able to get past 20 as their innings closed on 115. The Rowells, plus Jack Atkinson, took three wickets each.

Thornton’s batters missed the chance of some practice for the Wynn Cup final.

Only Jack Laycock (69, including five sixes and seven fours), Kev Pollard (24) and Mark Paxton (11no) reached double figures as the innings closed on 133-9 in their allotted 33 overs, Harry Greenhalgh taking 4-30 and Matt Roberts 3-19.

The Beckfoot Lane side struggled in their run chase and only passed their target in the 32nd over with eight wickets down, with Neil Copping making 38.

New Division Two leaders Glusburn walloped 215-3 at home to Sandy Lane, with Nick Williamson making 89 not out, Neil Freeman 56 and Steve Brown 52.

Williamson followed this with 5-37 as the Greenwood Park side were dismissed for 120, with Andy Blackburn scoring 40.

Chatburn are level on points with Glusburn after beating basement boys Barrowford II by nine wickets but are behind on run rate.

Ingrow and Sutton, neither of whom played, drop down to third and fourth, a point behind the top two.

Warren Coppack (48), Paul Feather (41no) and Sajaad Khan (36) helped Airedale post 185-8 in their 45 overs at Division Three leaders Gargrave, who reached their target in the 43rd over for the loss of four wickets.

Bradford & Bingley III made the day’s highest score of 296 at home to Haworth West End, with Adam Swallow 109 (15 sixes, one four) and Andy Dobson (78) putting on 139 for the fourth wicket.

The usual dash of the Bronte batters was missing in reply and they closed on 158, with Andy Benfield making 57 as Dobson rounded off a good day with 6-32.

Thornton II made 202-5 in their 39 overs but visitors Wilsden II, bottom of the table, galloped home in the 37th over for the loss of six wickets, Ben Reynard (92no) and Doug Richardson (46no) being the main run-getters.

In Division Four, there was another centurion, Bingley Congs II’s Rick Andrews hitting a superb 114 as his side made 215-7 at home to Oakworth III.

He put on 132 for the second wicket with Danny Marshall (66) as Ben Howell and Ollie Stell took three wickets each. The visitors replied with 156, with Jack Ellis making 36 and Howell 31 as Tony Teale took 3-12.

Glusburn II's trip to Airedale II proved fruitful as they won by 89 runs.

Going first, the Park Field side made 201-7, with Patrick Lee making 47 not out and James Waring 30 not out as Mark Allcock took 4-65.

Airedale’s Andy Gill recovered from a blow to the face to make 53 as the innings closed on 112, with Alan Coney taking 5-26.

Division Five leaders Chatburn II received three points when Haworth West End II conceded.

Gargrave II are second after they demolished eight-man Sandy Lane II by six wickets at Greenwood Park.

The hosts were restricted to 57, with Stuart Weatherill taking 4-29, the visitors reaching their target in the 13th over.

Skipton CI II recorded an eight-run win over Cowling II at the Coliseum.

In a 35-overs-per-side game, the Sandylands side made 132-5. Then, despite a battling 30 not out by Ray Jones at No 9, the hosts fell just short as Paul Smith finished with 4-57 and Avais Nawaz 3-36.
