CROSSFLATTS have taken over at the top of Division One with just three games to go.

They defeated relegation-threatened Cowling by nine wickets while previous leaders Bingley Congs were bowled out for just 87 as they suffered defeat by six wickets at Haworth.

Cowling's total of 111 was never going to seriously test Crossflatts as they eased to victory with an unbeaten 51 from Austin Smith.

Embsay are third after skittling out Haworth Road for 45 with Haroon Ali taking a stunning 8-26 in ten overs.

The Shires Lane side lost four wickets reaching their target with Phil Binner making 22 as Andy Maude claimed 3-28.

Oakworth are fourth after seeing off Sutton by seven wickets at Cure Hill. Sutton slumped from 142-4 to 163 all out thanks to Jack Davison (4-28) and Michael Davison (3-20), as Chris Williams and Sam Solley both made 42.

Gareth Marshall 78 (ten fours and four sixes) and Ben Howell (43) saw the home side to the winning post.

Hepworth & Idle missed out on confirming promotion to the top flight when they went down by eight wickets to second-placed Barrowford at Bull Holme.

Simon McDermott made 54 of the Westfield Road sides 90 all out as Junaid Khan, Babar Shah and Abdul Mannan took 3 wickets apiece. Khan 42no and Shuja Rashid 39no saw the homesters to the winning post and into second spot on run rate.

Wilsden are third after an unusual finish at home to Oakworth II. The game was abandoned because of bad light at 8-10pm with the home side wanting just 6 to win with 5.3 overs to go. Nivard Trowers 69 off 64 balls and Sam Nettleton 56 had helped the Cure Hill side to 216 all out. In the reply of 211-6 Steve Wright scored 76 and Umar Malik 39no.

Haworth Road II slip to fourth spot after a 81 run defeat at home to Ingrow. The Hainworth side plundered 234-6 on the back of an opening stand of 159 by Mark Price 84 and Jake Hoyle 79 together with 40no from Dan Scott. Andrew Morley 38 top scored in the Baildon Bottom’s sides 153 with Hoyle taking 6-57.

Bradley’s flirtation with relegation continues after they went down by 40 runs at Chatburn. Andy Holmes (5-47) and James Heseltine (4-23) helped to restrict the Ribble Valley side to 127, but Bradley found the going tough and were all out for 87. Airedale received three points after Thornton conceded their game.

Cononley are still four points clear at the top of Division Three after a stunning victory at Denholme II.

They plundered 254-6 in 34.3 overs before declaring. Billy Pinder made 66, Herbie Starkey (58) and Andy Starkey (53). The Bradford Road side were then knocked over for just 78 of which Chris Dennison made 39 as Joel Grainger claimed 4-4.

Long Lee are second, on run rate after they too had an emphatic win over Riddlesden II at Golden View. Shahbaz Ahmed 77 (3 fours, 8 sixes) and Richard Ayrton 57 (5 fours, 3 sixes) put on 97 for the 6th wicket as the homesters amassed 233-8. The Grange Road side were then dismissed for 89 with Dave Collins, Jamie Robinson and Ian Roberts taking 3 wickets each.

Bradford & Bingley III were shot out for a paltry 32 by Embsay II at Wagon Lane with nobody scoring double figures as Stephen Speak claimed 7-9 off 13.1 overs.

The Shires Lane side decided to give their juniors an opportunity with the bat and lost six wickets reaching their target as Connors Hall Brown took 4-17.

Third placed Sandy Lane figured in a low scoring game against Eldwick & Gilstead at Greenwood Park. The homesters were restricted to 96 with Jordan Bayliss taking 5-35. The visitors slumped to 67 with Ashfaq Ali taking 5-25 and Shahbaz Ahmed 3-18.

Skipton CI made 128-7 in 37.5 overs before declaring against Crossflatts II with Martin Chisnall making 47 and Steve Davidson (41). Crossflatts II spent 41 overs reaching 31-7 before the match was abandoned. Paul Smith had the fantastic figures of 5-6 off 15 overs.

Lee Barrett scored a super 101no as Gargrave made 180-3 declared and Bingley Congs II then rushed to 40 in 39 overs! Joe Wood, Ben Rhodes and Stuart Weatherill took three wickets apiece.

Second-placed Foulridge II could only muster seven men and they were dismissed for 17 in 12.1 overs against Division 4A leaders Sandy Lane II who lost seven wickets in 7.2 overs before sealing victory as veteran Ray Tunnacliffe finished with 5-8.

Barrowford II were in fine form as they trounced Hepworth & Idle II by 9 wickets at Westfield Lane. Marc Atkinson 4-18 Munir Ahmed 3-38 and Jahangir Bahir 46no doing the business for the Bull Holme side.

Sutton II’s Tony Walton (75) and Stuart Tillotson (48) put on 108 for the first wicket as they made 169-4 against Chatburn II. Carl Jopson followed up with 5-18 as the Ribble Valley side tumbled to 61 all out.

9 man Oakworth III switched their match to Airedale II and were shot out for 38 with Mohammed Qadeer Hanif taking 4-4 and Stuart McLennan 3-12. The Bradford Road side galloped home by 9 wickets in 8.2 overs.

Haworth received 3 points when Glusburn II had to concede their game.

Cowling II, leaders of Division 4B, won by nine wickets at Long Lee. The Golden View side were indebted to Frazer Atkinson (34) and No 11 Neil Kennedy (20no) for most of their 87 all out as Amjid Shafait took 4-24. Evergreen John Cleaver scored 42no and Shafait (29no) steered Cowling home.

Skipton CI II beat Bradley II at Matthew Lane. Danny Hunt and Callum Patrick both scored 37 as the home side reached 132 with Dean Pompey taking 4-31. The vastly-experienced pair of Mel Mason (63no) and Jon Sharpe (43no) took the Sandylands side to an eight-wicket victory.

Gargrave lost by two wickets at Ingrow despite veteran Ray Jones taking 6-42 as they tried to defend their score of 103.

Cononley II skipper Richard Mansell carried his bat for a magnificent 120no (19 fours, 2 sixes)as his side made 200-5 before declaring after 40 overs. Bingley Congs III were never in the hunt and were dismissed for 63 with Peter Hatton taking 6-27 and Matt Hogg (4-17).
