YOUNG Will Luxton had a weekend to remember for Steeton.

Firstly he cracked 154 not out in their second team Division One game at home to Guiseley.

It is believed to be the highest score by a 13-year-old in the history of the Aire-Wharfe League.

Then he scored 37 on Sunday as Steeton's third team won their play-off final by five wickets at home to Rawdon.

Luxton, whose dad is first-team batsman Chris, smote 22 fours and three sixes in his 141-ball knock as Steeton racked up 292-4, aided by fellow teenager Atif Modak (38) and Bradley Akrigg (51no).

Will added 73 with Modak and an unbroken 155 with Akrigg.

Guiseley made a good fist of their reply, scoring 269, after an opening stand of 153 between Tom Woodley (84) and Jack Kelly (57), Akrigg completing a fine all-round day with 3-32.
