SKIPTON and Steeton both suffered at the hands of the Aire-Wharfe Division Two's top two.

Leaders Adel inflicted a 171-run defeat on Skipton, while Steeton conceded the day's highest score of 327-9 as they lost by 199 runs against Kirkstall Educational.

Despit James Mukharjee taking 4-75 and Iqbal Khan (4-64), Skipton were unable to contain Adel's overseas player Jan-Harm Moolman as he made a sparkling 147.

Moolman struck seven sixes and 16 fours and was joined in a third-wicket stand of 135 by James Dobson (45).

Skipton needed a good start if they were to chase down Adel's 292, but the loss of two quick wickets put them on the back foot.

Majid Inayat (30) and Rob Walker (29no) were the only batsmen to offer any resistance as their side were dismissed for 121.

Steeton won't look back on their clash with Kirkstall Educational with any relish. They were put to the sword by Stephen Wilkinson who made a stunning 201.

Wilson cut loose with 12 sixes and 21 fours in a 128-ball innings that showed no mercy for the Steeton bowlers.

Overseas player Rico Webb chipped in with 53 for Kirkstall while Paul Hardwick (3-79) was Steeton's best bowler.

Steeton's reply started badly as they slumped to 20-4. Opener John Akrigg, as he has done so often, stood firm and made a defiant 57.

Jake Starkey (36) joined him in a fifth-wicket stand of 90 before a dramatic collapse saw the last six wickets fall for 18 runs. James Watson (4-14) and Rico Webb (3-44) did the damage.

Addingham's Ricky Palacio had a day to remember as he inspired his side to an eight-wicket win over newly-promoted Horsforth Hall Park.

He took 6-41 as Hall Park perished for135, despite Tom Woodley making 53, and then hit an undefeated 77 as Addingham cruised home by eight wickets.
