TEN games were completely lost to the weather in the Mewies Solicitors Craven League, one of them being Division One leaders Haworth's game against Sutton.

This gave second-placed Bingley Congs the opportunity to join the men from Bronteland at the top if they could beat Riddlesden at Beckfoot Lane.

Things didn’t quite go as expected, however, and Congs were staring defeat in the face when rain halted proceedings – one of several matches that were abandoned in the second innings.
