SUTTON will be hoping their luck will change when they meet Bingley Congs in Sunday’s Wynn Cup final at Bradley.
This will be their 11 appearance in the final since 1928 and their only win was against Eastburn in 1947.
Bingley Congs currently top Division One and will start as favourites. Their final record is played two won two which contrasts sharply with Sutton’s.
For Sutton to succeed they will need their attack of James MacDonald and Richard Walker to get amongst the wickets against a Bingley Congs side looking to retain the trophy they won last season.
Their batting is led by seasoned campaigner and skipper Craig Thornton, Ryan Ridehalgh, who returned from Ilkley at the start of the season, David Snowden and the youthful Sam Solley.
They have a formidable pace attack in Matt Roberts and Harry Greenhalgh who are backed up by the vast experience of skipper Adie Dibb and spinners Neil Copping and Mohammed Adil.
The Congs batting also has strength with Adil and the hard-hitting Copping, backed by Sam Porter, Danny Pearson and Andy Copping.
