EMBSAY produced another good performance as they romped to a five-wicket Division One win at home to Ingrow St John’s.

The visitors rattled up 178 with Imran Zaman (61) and Ahtasham Raza (37) leading the way.

Sam Arkwright (4-36) and Haroon Ali (4-49) did most of the damage for Embsay who galloped home in 35 overs with Dave Wellock (89) and Joe Holt (53) leading the charge.

Haworth slipped to fourth place after going down by 32 runs at Sutton. Chris Williams (49) top scored as the Royd Hill side made 140-9. Dan Trowers made 41 as Haworth were dismissed for 108. MacDonald (4-40) and Richard Walker (3-55) were the pick of the bowlers.

Denholme saw off next to bottom Cowling by eight wickets. Jack Harrison (5-15) and Luke Pickles (3-24) had the Coliseum side back in the hut for 99. Matt Wear (38no) and Toby Priestley (33) carried their side to the points.

Hepworth & Idle enjoy a two-point advantage at the top of Division two after demolishing Bradley by six wickets at Matthew Lane. Only Neil Andrews (31) offered much resistance as Donald Wooller (5-26) and Jonathan Thompson (3-27) ran amok.

Oakworth II were grateful to Matty Lee as he contributed 85 of their 123 all out at Cure Hill. Mark Laycock took 4-19 and Phil Oldfield (3-14) for Thornton who then sauntered home by nine wickets with Kev Pollard (63no) and Steve Laycock (25no) putting on an undefeated 107 for the second wicket.

Nick Williamson 92no (13 fours and three sixes) and Steve Brown (28) were the main contributors to Glusburn’s 238-7 at Airedale. The Bradford Road side made 168 in reply as James Tillotson claimed 3-4 in just seven balls.

Leaders Cononley were in impressive form in Division Three as they saw off Embsay II by seven wickets at Shires Lane. The home side were restricted to 106 with under-14 Max Walker making 36 as Anthony Haigh took 4-14 and Joel Grainger 3-17. Skipper Andrew Starkey (54no) led his side to a comfortable victory.

Second-placed Sandy Lane visited Gargrave and won by 26 runs in a low-scoring game.

Shabaz Ahmed (32) helped the Greenwood Park side to 136 as John Beckwith took 3-20. The Skipton Road side perished for 110 with Chris Lambert making 32 as Farhan Khalid took 4-29 and Irfan Ul Haque (3-36).

Martin Seward made 98no, Sean Williamson (49) and Ian Henderson (47) to help Skipton CI to 256-6 at Sandylands. Ten-man Denholme were shot out for 48.

Sutton proved to be too strong for bottom side Glusburn II in Division 4A, winning by seven wickets.

Alan Coney made 45 of the Park Field side’s 105-8. Then Simon Todd (61no) led the Royd Hill side to the spoils.

Division 4B leaders Skipton CI II had an open date, which allowed second-placed Cowling II to close within two points after a crushing win at home to Bradley II.

John Cleaver (46) and Sajid Shafait (37) helped the Coliseum side to 203-9 as Josh Nkwo finished with 7-42. The visitors crashed to 48 all out with no batsman reaching double figures as extras top scored with 14.

Bottom side Bingley Congs III failed to win again, losing by four wickets at home to Ingrow II.

Gargrave II conceded to Cononley II and Long Lee II conceded to Wilsden II.
