HAWORTH were in a hurry when they entertained Barrowford in Division One of the Mewies Solicitors Craven League.

The Bull Holme side could only manage 114, with Shakeel Butt and Adnan Khalid both making 30 as Richard Ellis and Stephen Bell both claimed three wickets.

The hosts then stormed home by nine wickets, with Jamie Rowell hitting 50 before retiring and Dave Bainbridge making 42 not out.

Sutton were equally as impressive as they saw off Ingrow St John’s at Royd Hill.

The Saints were hustled out for 87, with Immy Zaman making 21 as Chris Walker took 6-15.

Chris Barrett then made 26 not out as victory was achieved with two wickets down.

Drew Duffy (53) and Joel Gallagher (42) put on 83 for the first wicket for Oakworth against Embsay at Cure Hill.

From there, however, things went downhill quickly as they were dismissed for 120, with Scott Robinson taking 4-8 and Elliot Stockton 4-13.

Josh Robinson then made 45 as the visitors got home by five wickets, with Richard Cavender taking 3-42.

Champions Crossflatts overcame Hepworth & Idle at Ryshworth Park.

Flatts were wobbling before Alex Bradbury (59) and Scott Kershaw (46) steadied the ship to help them to 191.

The Westfield Laners replied with 120, of which Simon McDermott hit 67, as Qamar Ayub finished with 4-30 and Jim O’Hara 3-20.

Haworth Road beat nine-man Riddlesden at Baildon Bottom.

Chris Griggs (77) and Mansha Khan (48) helped the home side to 197 as Mohammed Arshad took 3-26.

The visitors then replied with 83, with Aftab Khan (28) top- scoring as Muhammad Zahid claimed 3-11.

Division Two Haworth Road II plundered the day's highest score of 261-6 at Glusburn.

Charlie Hainsworth (65) and Narinder Gata Aura (51no) were the main contributors, and Glusburn made a decent reply that closed on 181, with Simon Frost (56) and Matthew Lloyd (47) top scoring as Dan Taylor (3-7) and Matt Hall (3-45) were the best bowlers.

At The Coliseum, Cowling were restricted to 88 (37.5 overs) by Wilsden.

Mike 'The Doc' Dudley made 36 as Rafaquat Mahmood took 5-17, but visitors Wilsden found themselves at 66-8 before Mahmood (15no) and Ben Mitchell (14no) saw them over the line, despite 6-28 by Wasim Hussain.

There was another tight, low-scoring game at Ingrow, where Chatburn were the visitors.

Jake and Dale Hoyle both finished with 3-23 as the Ribble Valley side were restricted to 91, with Ashley Bennett making 41.

The Hainworth side got home by three wickets, with Jake Hoyle leading the way with 43 as Andy Booth claimed 4-37.

Sandy Lane beat Oakworth II by 63 runs at Greenwood Park.

The hosts, led by Rana Abbas (48), posted 213-7 as Uwas Ali Khan took 3-15.

The Cure Hill side were then dismissed for 150, with Joe Copperwaite making 34 and Bradley Powell 32.

Long Lee made 233 at Golden Acre, with Shahbaz Ahmed (74) and Jamie Robinson (38) being the main run-getters as Scott Ritchie took 3-32 for Airedale.

The Bradford Road side could only muster 105 in reply as Ian Roberts (4-19) and Dave Collins (3-5) did the damage, Mathew Cox top-scoring with 36.

Ingrow St John’s II chased down Foulridge’s 176 at Street Lane, getting home by three wickets with six balls to spare.

In Division ThreeCononley were in the runs again - this time at Riddlesden II.

They plundered 225, with Andrew Starkey making 75, Cameron Knowles 35 and Tom Feather 34, despite the best efforts of Darren Shields (5-30).

The nine-man Grange Road side could only muster 101 in reply, with Akeel Rashid making 67 as Knowles rounded off a good day with 3-12.

Bradford & Bingley III made light work of Sandy Lane II at Aire View.

The Greenwood Park side were knocked over for a modest 60, with James Dobson (4-8) and Farhan Khalid (3-31) doing most of the damage.

Shahbaz Ahmed (45no) led the hosts to a nine-wicket victory.

George Beckwith (44) and Paul Messenger (34) helped ten-man Gargrave to 135-9 as Quaddir Choudhry took 3-44.

Visitors Skipton CI lost eight wickets in reaching their target, with Choudhry (45no) and Ian Henderson (40) being the main contributors as Will Smith took 3-25.

Embsay II were struggling at 118-7, which included 90 from Dominic Kay.

Stephen Speak (69no) was joined by Paul Wormald (22no) and they put on an undefeated 94 for the eight wicket to help them close on 212-7.

Tom Cleaver (31) and 'Mr Extras' (30) were the best scores in visitors Thornton’s reply of 141-8, with Speak (3-33) and Wormald (3-44) the best bowlers.

Bradley opened their account with a crushing eight-wicket victory at Barrowford II.

Hamid Bakhsh (33) and 'Mr Extras' (23) helped the Bull Holme score to 120 as Harry McEnearney took 3-38.

He followed this with 35 not out to go with Sam Baldwin’s 44 not out, which helped the Matthew Lane side to the points.

Bingley Congs II were too strong for Eldwick & Gilstead at Beckfoot Lane, winning by 79 runs, with the only performances of note coming from the winning side – Tim Burnley (60) and Jimmy Dennison (5-32).

In Division Four A and B, Crossflatts II were knocked over for 66 at Cononley II, with Tom Rudden taking 4-29 and Paul Hogg 3-12.

The hosts were then shot out for a paltry 18, with 'Mr Extras' (8) top-scoring.

The innings contained six ducks as Mayank Singh took 5-1 and Mick Addy 5-9.

At Airedale II, Simon Todd (84no) and Andrew Fountain (38) were the chief contributors to Sutton II's impressive 200-3.

The Bradford Road side replied with 107, with Justin Holdsworth (3-8), Ben Lower (3-10) and Mickey Ruddock (3-20) doing the damage.

Chris Kimberley (56no) helped Bradley II to 143-6 at Matthew Lane.

Then John Drake (4-26) and Matt Buckmaster (3-5) shuffled visitors Ingrow II back to the hut for 69.

Chatburn II opened their account for the season with a 50- run victory over Denholme II in the Ribble Valley.

Dan Holes (44) helped the home side to 161 as Adrian Shires (4-35) and Michael Dennison (3-51) took most of the wickets.

Josh Wheatley (33) led the reply, which closed on 111, with Josh Dean taking 4-22.

'Silver fox' Steve Dalby scored 46 as Cowling II posted 137 at Foulridge II.

The next highest scorer was extras with 20 as Mohammad Yaqoob took 3-27 and Ray Tunnacliffe 3-42.

Then Yaqoob (35) and Tamoor Munir (34) helped the Noyna side home by four wickets.

Haworth II just held off Wilsden II by 12 runs at Windy Grove.

Last pair (Neil Rollins (38no) and Will Yildiz (36) rescued the Bronte side and helped them reach 177.

Danny Spencer (5-21) and Charlie Shimmin (3-36) got among the wickets to restrict the hosts to 165-9, with Raza Ali (63) and (Harrison Houldsworth (35) being the main contributors.

Silsden’s Kieran Lawrence enjoyed his second six-wicket haul of the season, this time for only 13 runs as Glusburn II were hustled out for 89.

The hosts galloped home by seven wickets, with Nick Firth (51no) leading the way.

Darren Pighills (3-42 and 44) was the leading light in Skipton CI II's seven-wicket victory over Long Lee II at Sandylands.

The Golden Acre side made 118, with Frazer Atkinson making 35 and Jan Haider 33 as Chris Windle chipped in with 3-33.

For the hosts, in addition to Pighills, Jon Sharpe made 41.

Finally Bingley Congs III won their second match of the season, beating Gargrave II by 73 runs at Haworth West End.

The hosts made 132, with Sam Waterhouse making 48 and Thomas Storr taking 6-28.

The visitors were never in the hunt and closed on 59 with Jamie Teale (4-5) and Yvonne Baines (3-23) doing most of the damage.
