Skipton’s blind golfer Malcolm Elrick is feeling on top of the world.
The 60-year-old European champion was unbeaten as the Rest of the World defeated North America 13½-12½.
Elrick, who has a club handicap of 20, plays off 26 in international competition, and he was in good form at Colum- bus.
He won all his three matches. On the first day he won five and four in his betterball match.
He followed up with a three and one victory in the second day’s betterball encounters before finishing off with a singles win on a tense final day, also by three and one.
His next big target is to compete in the 2014 Blind World Championships in Australia.
