ANDY Hodge's unbeaten GB men's four crew are preparing for their biggest test to date.

Hebden's Hodge, Alex Gregory, Moe Sbihi and George Nash will put their proud record to the test in the World Championships in Amsterdam from August 24-31.

The foursome combination have produced some stunning results since coming together, winning gold medals at the European Championships in Belgrade and at both World Cup regattas, in Aiguebelette and Lucerne.

They also won the Stewards’ Challenge Cup at Henley Regatta. They are most certainly a crew to pay attention to in Amsterdam.

Hodge said: “We’re coming off the back of a great World Cup series so now I think we can get our heads down and put in some good mileage at the training camps which are coming up."

He also spoke about the effect their unbeaten run has had on the crew: “It’s definitely a bonus but it’s nothing to rest on. We’ve seen lots of crews in the past have good World Cups and then fall down at the last hurdle so we know we have a lot of work to do and we know Jurgen Grobler is going to keep us on our toes over the next couple of weeks. Now it’s about getting the best out of ourselves for the Worlds.”
