SKIPTON Swimming Club's youngest and least experienced swimmers picked up a splendid haul of 32 medals in the Bradford Grassroots Invitation Meet at Shipley Pool.
Niall Smith led the way as he captured three gold and three bronze medals with a series of good performances. His victories came in the boys nine years 50m freestyle and breaststroke, plus the ten years 100m backstroke.
Mia Douglas had a good evening as she also collected six medals – two gold, two silver and two bronze.
Her victories came in the girls 11 years 200m freestyle and nine years 50m freestyle.
Paige Fenton, Declan Sequeira and Rohan Smith were Skipton's other winners. Sequeira won the boys ten years 100m butterfly, while Fenton swam to victory in the nine years 50m butterfly, and Smith led the field home in the nine to ten years 100m individual medley.
In all Skipton won eight golds, 13 silvers and 11 bronze medals, they also collected nine speeding tickets.
