CROSS Hills Tennis Club, who have new courts and a new clubhouse after money from Sport England and the trustees of Keighley Tennis Club, plus internal fund-raising, hope to have a big year.
They ran eight teams (men, women or mixed) in 2014, had two evenings per week of social play (Tuesdays and Thursdays) and links with a local school, as well as club coaching, and are hoping to better that.
Adult drop-in coaching starts next Tuesday (6pm), while there is an open junior and mini coaching session on Saturday, April 18 (2pm).
Other notable dates are Thursday, May 14 for drop-in pay-as-you-play sessions for non-members (10am), while from Monday, August 3, Ilkley Lawn Tennis & Squash Club are holding a junior summer camp at the club.
Subscriptions are again unchanged at £120 for family or couples, £80 for a single adult and £30 for juniors or students, and anyone wishing to join should contact membership secretary Edie Dexter on 01535-632763 or www.crosshills.net.
Non-members can also contact club chairman Glenn Frost on 01535-633031 or press officer Joel Griffiths on 01535-633128.
