CHAMPIONS Cononley A are setting the pace at the halfway point in the Skipton League's Walker Foster Division One.

They have recorded 13 wins and suffered just one defeat which gives them a ten-point lead over Keighley A with Crosshills A a further four points back.

Cononley's only defeat came at the hands of Devon A which they avenged with a 9-3 triumph last week. Their match with Colne Legion A was much tighter but they did enough to secure a 7-5 win.

Keighley A also found it tough away at Gargrave A as they were held to a 6-6 draw and lost the aggregate by just three points.

It was a different story when they took on Sutton A at home and ran out emphatic 12-0 winners.

Crosshills A followed up a 7-5 win over Sutton A with an 11-1 victory over their B team.

Colne Cricket replaced Silsden in fourth place after beating them 9-3. They also picked up an 8-4 win at Settle.

Lund Park A have a five point lead in the James Pye and Son Second Division. The ir two latest wins were 10-2 at Addingham A and 9-3 at home to their B team.

Second-placed Devon, who like the leaders were relegated last season, went down 7-5 at Rolls Royce before beating Cononley B 9-3.

Keighley B are third after a 10-2 home win over Oakworth, and then a 6-6 draw at Sutton B. They are just four points behind Devon.

Cononley B are fifth on 100 points but have a game in hand on the top two, the home green could have a big call after a very convincing 12-0 win over Gargrave B.

Grassington lead the way in the Skipton Building Society Division Three, after two wins at home to Gargrave C 8-2 and away at Craven 7-3.

Crosshills C kept in touch with wins at home to Settle B 7-3 and away at Addingham B 6-4. Steeton B continue to go well with two good 8-2 wins. They defeated their C team and Craven to share third place with Broughton Road B.

The Roaders had just one game winning 9-1 at Settle B, and have a game in hand on the other teams around them.

The Veterans Inter District team take on West Riding tomorrow. The home game is at Craven, while the away side travel to Thornhill, both matches start at 1.30pm.
