HEBDEN'S Andy Hodge and Great Britain's men's eight will this weekend face their last international test before the Olympics.
They are competing at the World Cup meeting at Poznan, Poland where they will be hoping to improve on the disappointing form.
In a bid to improve performance, GB have moved double Olympic gold medal winner Hodge to stroke in training.
They are desperately seeking to get the best from an experienced crew after third and fourth-placed finishes so far this season.
Team GB have named 12 athletes that will form the men’s eight, men’s pair and spares for Rio, so this weekend’s performances will have a bearing on the final selection.
Hodge said: “There is still a process to finalise the boats but it’s good to be in the picture and back into the fray for another Olympics. We’ve got a big job ahead of us as we only came third and fourth in our races so far this season.
“We have a very experienced team, a very experienced coach and we’re looking forward to making sure we achieve what we believe we are capable of.”
