MERCIA’S Simon Bailey dominated the demanding Farleton Knotts Fell Race on Sunday – winning by almost two minutes.
Bailey completed the course in 33min 59sec and was well clear of last year’s BOFRA champion Ted Mason. The Wharfedale Harriers runner came home in 35:51.
Mason, from Appletreewick, was comfortably ahead of Barlick’s Jimmy Craig who was third with a time of 37:50.
Wharfedale’s Kirsty Hall continued her dominant form by winning the ladies race in 43:17. Pudsey and Bramley’s Rachel Pilling (46.35) and Helm Hill’s Katherine Lawson (47.14) were second and third respectively.

Under-17 girls: 1 Briony Holt (Clayton le Moors) 24.05, 2 Emily Jones, Wharfedale 27.45, 3 Hannah Durkin, Ambleside 29.09.
Under-14 Boys: 1 Louis Hudson (Keighley & Craven) 9.4, 2 Ben Edmondson (Ambleside) 9.46, 3 Sam Smith Wharfedale 9.50
Under-14 girls: 1 Alice Jones (Wharfedale) 10.57, 2 Lauryn Gregg (Rossendale Harriers) 11.26, 3 Courtney Hutchinson (Ambleside) 12.58.
Under-12 Boys: 1 Dexta Thompson (Clayton) 5.30, 2 Lewis Carr (Ilkley Harriers) 5.34, 3 Addison Willis (Keighley & Craven) 5.43.
Under-12 Girls: 1 Olesia Winder (Leven Valley) 5.50, 2 Emily Swarbrick (Broughton Runners) 6.07, Ella Dorrington, Clayton 6.14.
Under-9 Boys: 1 Oliver Bailey (Mercia) 3.21, 2 Jack Sanderson (Settle Harriers) 3.25, Tom Hooper (Wharfedale) 3.28.
Under-9 Girls: 1 Millie Timbers (Keighley & Craven) 3.49, 2 Maddison Parrington (Barlick) 4.11, 3 Melissa Walker (Pudsey & Bramley) 4.16.
