DOUGIE Lampkin marked his second appearance at a Yorkshire trial in three weeks with a faultless performance in his home town.

The multi world champion won the annual Bradford Motor Club annual Boxing Day Trial at Howden Wood, Silsden by riding his Vertigo machine through 12 sections and three laps without incurring a single penalty.

Lampkin just beat East Morton's Martin Crosswaite and East Keswick brothers Dan and Ben Hemingway on the hard route course.

Joe Faunthorpe again won the Class A age group from Keiran Child, while Class B youngsters Edward Earle of Addingham and Keighley's Aaron Carter topped the Clubman B class from Skipton adult Rob Pickard.

Harrogate's Rob Hardisty won Clubman B from Denholme’s Andy Brooksbank and Phillip Hammond.

Fewston rider James Noble just pipped Nigel Crowther by a single penalty in West Leeds Motor Club's President's Trial at Post Hill on Boxing Day.

Guiseley musician Sam Jennings was second to Crowther in the Novice Class.

Forty three competitors rode three laps of the 13-section course on the wood slopes of the old hill climb venue near Pudsey.

Noble won the Frank Fletcher trophy while youngster Joe Smith grabbed the youth title.

Andy Johnson headed the fifty-fifty course class from Hartshead veteran Stewart Oughton while Horsforth motorcycle dealer Nigel Pearson took the Clubman class from Howard Gulley by a single penalty.
