COOL and blustery conditions greeted the riders for Bronte Wheelers' latest ten-mile time trial on the Cracoe to Skipton course – but this did not seem to slow down winner Pete Williams.

The Embsay professional, riding for One Pro, clocked a remarkable time of 20min 16secs, only four seconds outside his course record set three weeks ago.

In second place was Bronte’s Steve Ayers in a time of 21:24, following up his brilliant ride in the prestigious Anfield 100-mile time trial where, despite a puncture and losing valuable time, he still posted a time of 3 hours 55min for a top ten finish in the 120-strong field.

In third place was Peter Barusevicus in a time of 21:43.

On Wednesday the riders will tackle the Stirton to Settle and back 25-mile time trial, starting at 7pm at Stirton on the A65.
