SKIPTON Golf Club's major scratch competition, the FNF Trophy, produced some excellent golf with the opening round producing four sub-par scores.
Leading the way was Max Berrisford who’s gross 66 contained five birdies. He was however closely followed by Matt Ryder on 67 thanks to a run of four birdies in a row from the sixth hole.
Ryder eventually claimed victory with a second round of 68 to finish with a five-under-par total of 135 to win by three shots from Berrisford who carded a second round 71.
Gregor Myles finished a shot further back after rounds of 67 and 71.
The July Medal was won by Matthew Jones with a net 63 two ahead of promising junior Harry Ayrton with Division Two being claimed by Steven Robinson with a net 66, just one shot better that Ian Pawson.
The Ladies Centenary Plate Judy Shaw took top honours with 36 points, four ahead of her nearest rivals, Ros Moloney and Rita Richardson.
