PETER Clark was in top form at Cononley as he won the Jeff Clark Floodlight Trophy.

His quarter-final proved to be a tough match against Keighley stalwart David Jacques.

Clark had to pull out all the stops to get the better of Jacques, who saw two pieces of bad luck with woods just slipping through the gaps, but Clark went through 21-19.

The other two Devon qualifiers met in the quarter-final with Les Foster just getting the better of Robbie Ellis 21-16.

Oxenhope’s David Hemsley was in good form to beat Keighley’s Chris Wilson 21-11, while Derek Seed had a good game against Martyn Loftus winning 21-19, as Loftus slipped up at the final end.

The semi-finals saw David Hemsley continue his good form with a 21-14 win over Derek Seed.

Peter Clark met team-mate Les Foster, a good match saw Clark just prove to be to strong winning 21-16.

The final saw Clark hit top form, with Hemsley unable to get his hands on the jack, Clark was in determined mood and was out to make sure he got his hands on his father’s trophy for the second time.

The result was a resounding 21-7 win for Clark, with president Alister Keighley on hand to present the trophy and prizes.
