Keighley 76 Ossett Trinity 0

Keighley kept up their title challenge with a demolition job against ten-man Trinity.

Credit to those players who did make the journey for Ossett but the writing was on the wall when the hosts scored after a minute through Danny Spencer.

He raced 60 metres for the first of three tries. This was soon followed by his brother Rob racing in from half that distance.

Keighley scored at will and, at 30-0 up after just 15 minutes, they reduced their numbers to 11 to even up the game for the good of the crowd.

But the home side continued to dominate as tries came from Paul Bradwell (3), Ricky Leatham (3), Shaun Metcalfe, Danny Lunn, Danny Barrett and Tony Kennedy (his first of the season).

Callam Hudson kicked seven goals, while Leatham, Barrett and Luke Moorby also bagged one each.

Keighley remain in second spot after leaders West Bowling won 34-18 at home to Westgate Wolves.

Keith Dixon’s side will have a much tougher encounter when they entertain Bank Top on Saturday at Rose Cottage.
