Pennine League Division Four West: Silsden 68 Queensbury B 0

SILSDEN scored 12 tries in their second league victory of the season but also had to show some sterling defensive work to keep their line intact after conceding numerous penalties.

Playing at home for the first time this season, the hosts' primary feature, however, was their excellent attacking play.

Tim Wilkinson got them underway from a cleverly-worked inside pass in a move straight off the training field.

This was soon followed by another excellent try with some great support play, Jake Smith touching down, and Jack Stoddart got over for the third after going close twice, with the evergreen Jonny Crowther being next to cross.

Further tries came from Ben Pickles, James Bowdin (2) and Danny Whittaker, with Crowther also getting his second.

Wilkinson put in a man of the match performance with another three touchdowns to give him four in all, with Ben Ross contributing some great defensive work, a number of try assists and ten conversions.

On Saturday, Silsden are at Cowling Harlequins (2pm).
