Pennine League Division Three West: Worth Village 26 Queensbury A 6

After a tight first half, Worth took control after the break to secure a comfortable win.

Queensbury took advantage of a Village mistake on the line to touch down near the posts for the opening score after 15 minutes.

This didn't dishearten the hosts, with Daniel Spencer breaking the line to go two thirds of the pitch to score the first of his three tries. His second came just before half-time, leaving Village leading 10-6.

Worth dominated the second half, not allowing Queensbury near their line with some great tackling from Jake Feather and Daz Jackson.

Going forward, Village showed some great movement through Rob Spencer and Joe Buckley, which put Luke Whiteley in for a great try.

Spencer claimed his hat-trick, with Kris Gott kicking the two points, and Village weren't finished yet. Some brilliant running from Paul Philips made way for James Gow to score in the corner, finishing the game 26-6.

Worth Village have a trip to Bradford on Saturday to play last year's title rivals Victoria Rangers A.

Meanwhile, Cowling Harlequins face a trip to Odsal Sedbergh A in Division Four West.
