SILSDEN'S Pennine League Division Four match at Wyke A was abandoned due to a serious injury to Ayrton Campbell.

The Cobbydalers were winning 8-6 after 50 minutes when Campbell was badly hurt in a tackle.

He was stretchered off and taken to hospital, with Silsden's club secretary stating he had broken ribs, his collar bone and his nose.

Meanwhile, Worth Village were comfortable 58-4 winners in their local derby at Cowling Harlequins in the 11-a-side League.
