Keighley Albion A 28 Queensbury A 40

WITH both Keighley and Queensbury's first team having their games postponed, a big crowd was down at Crossflatts to watch the Albion A team.

Queensbury, attacking down the slope in the first half, took full advantage to rack up a comfortable lead.

Their full back and wingers used their speed and skill advantage to take charge and strong running, with quick play-the-balls from the pack, showed the Albion defence up. 0-26 half time.

The hosts trailed 26-0 at the break and had a big deficit to claw back with the slope in their favour.

Albion started strongly and were rewarded with a try which Fin Meegan converted. Then Morgan Robinson was next to score with some strong running to burst through the gap.

The comeback looked o but Queensbury regrouped and ran in three tries to lead 40-12.

However, the spirit of the young Albion side showed with tries coming from Scott Cunningham, Owen Palmer and Jak Adams.

Albion first team are at home to New Earswick on Saturday and the A team are at Dearne Valley.
