KEIGHLEY'S two England representatives played a starring role in their second Student World Cup group match following a shaky start.
England vice-captain Matt Ross could not help his side from going down to Australia in the opening game in Sydney, where the hosts won 54-10 as former Cougars player Ben Stead sat it out at St Mary's Stadium.
Stead returned to the line-up for the second fixture against Wales and slotted three conversions to help his side to a 22-4 victory. Ross had also opened the scoring for England, sneaking over from dummy half at the Windsor Sports Complex.
England's next game is against Pool Two leaders Scotland and they would need to overturn a huge points difference of 72 to avoid another meeting with Australia in the semi-finals.
