Cutsyke Raiders U18s 16 Keighley Albion U18s 44

ALBION continued their winning ways at Castleford side Cutsyke Raiders, with Danny Murphy, Henry MacNab and Charlie Lowrie all grabbing a brace of tries apiece.

Cutsyke applied the pressure in the opening quarter and crossed for the opening try. However, once Albion settled, they were able to steadily gain control of the game.

Jacob Cox broke away and sprinted half the length of the field to cross before Murphy added the first of his tries.

Joe Dearnley, Sam Backhouse and Liam Brookes were making the hard yards and defending well in the middle to keep the Cutsyke side at bay.

With Albion maintaining their discipline, their rugby was free-flowing and controlled. The ever-improving MacNab was steering the side and, with an eye for a gap, he cut through from acting half to touch down before Lowrie followed him over.

Loose forward Josh Tenniswood was getting through a ton of work in attack and defence and he was next over before Murphy, MacNab and Lowrie all got their second tries.

Josh Slingsby also got in on the act as he broke down the left wing to go over and score and he was unlucky to not grab a second, as his touchdown was ruled out for obstruction in the passing move prior to him scoring.

Harry Normington added four of the conversions with Cutsyke adding two consolation tries to leave the final score at 44-16 to Albion.

MacNab, Lowrie, Murphy and Tenniswood were the pick for Albion, who travel to Sheffield Hawks for their next league game.
