FLANKER John Padley has been named as North Ribblesdale's player of the year.

He received the John Birks Trophy at the club's annual dinner from RFU president John Spencer and club president Andrew Mills.

Despite his team's relegation from Yorkshire One, Padley was an energetic and consistent performer throughout a testing campaign.

Honorary life memberships were awarded to past president Wesley Spensley and retiring junior section chairman Mark Throup.

The Ken Davidson Award: Amari Kaup-Samuels.

Golden Boot Award for the top points scorer: Michael Thwaite. The Stag's player of the season: John Marshall.

The Danny Simpson Trophy: Simon Walker.
