Wharfedale delivered the much-needed victory last Saturday, and a convincing one it was, but as results elsewhere showed, the job of survival in the division has only just begun.

This week’s visitors Old Albanians are making a decent fist of their first campaign in National One, lying in sixth place.

When the teams me earlier this season they fought out a 27-27 draw.

Led by wily player-coach James Shanahan, last season’s champions of National Two South make the claim of being the only side this season to win at the home of leaders Ealing Trailfinders, so they fear no-one.

The Wharfedale selectors have once again name Christian Georgiou at full-back, with Adam Whaites moving to the wing.

Adam Howard continues at lock after his successful debut in that position last Saturday, and Toby Wareing comes into the starting line-up in place of the injured Alastair Allen.

Wharfedale: Christian Georgiou; Lloyd Davies, Peter Lucock, Joe Donkin, Adam Whaites; Peter Barrett, Philip Woodhead; Chris Steel (c), Steve Graham, Mark Tampin, Adam Howard, Richard Rhodes, Tom Wareing, Dan Solomi, Aaron Myers. Replacements: Neil Dickinson, Ian Larkin, Jim Mason, James Gough, Simon Horsfall.
