Castleford 59 Skipton 7
Castleford were given the fright of their lives when Skipton scored a converted try in the first minute of their Yorkshire Three away fixture.
However, the home side soon sparkled to record their biggest win of the season as they ran in eight tries.
Skipton, full-back, Jeremy Hargreaves, took advantage of some poor tackling to power in at the side of the posts from 30 metres out before adding the conversion, but by half-time a 7-0 lead had become a 38-7 deficit.
Skipton started the second half with determination and prevented Castleford adding to their lead, until the final quarter.
The pressure finally told as they tired in the closing stages.
A touchline penalty kick took play to ten metres out. One of the Castleford second rows rose to win the line-out before a rolling maul headed for the try-line.
The Castleford pack was well in control and from a scrum ten metres out pushed the visitors back towards their line.
The No8 detached from the scrum base to send his stand off into space and under the posts.
The final try of the game came from the Castleford inside centre who went in unopposed from 30 yards out.
