WHARFEDALE coach Jon Feeley wants his backs to take some of the burden off his pack.

"Our forwards are doing far too much carrying of the ball," he said in the wake of last Saturday's frustrating 20-17 defeat at Tynedale in SSE National League One, which cost them their 100 per cent record.

"With the exception of Matt Van Sertima, the backs haven't got that much physical presence and we were running too laterally, which is why Scott Jordan's early withdrawal was a blow as he has pace and is able to find a gap."

One possible solution at home to leaders Ealing Trailfinders on Saturday could be fielding Taylor Prell, dual-registered with Yorkshire Carnegie, at full back, where his speed and balance are assets.

Jordan resumes on the wing, but the Dalesmen are without Philip Woodhead, who is with the England Development team playing Sevens in Kenya.

Van Sertima switches to outside centre and Will Bell starts at fly half, the only pack change being the rotation at hooker of Dan Stockdale for Ian Larkin. Fitness tests will decide who plays on the bench.

Two seasons ago, the generously-sponsored Trailfinders sailed through National One at the second time of asking, winning the division by 19 points.

The step up to the Championship, however, proved a step too far and they were relegated, but they have won three from three this time and are front-runners by a point.
