Try star Solomi on bench for Wharfedale for trip to SedgleyPark

Wharfedale make their shortest journey of the season on Saturday – albeit one of 50 miles – to Sedgley Park, who with 17 points lie in 12th place against Wharfedale’s eighth place on 20 points.

When the Mancunians dropped into National One in 2009, things went Wharfedale’s way with three successive victories, but after a draw at the Avenue in 2011, Tigers have won the last two matches.

In a largely unchanged squad, the main selection news is the return to duty, for the first time this season in a league match, of prolific tryscorer Dan Solomi.

Injured in a pre-season warm-up match, Solomi has been working on his match-fitness and is named on the bench. Steve Graham and Adam Howard are named in the starting XV.
