After last Saturday's total wash out of Craven League football the District Association cup ties take centre stage this weekend when the Smart & Cook inc Slater Marchant Craven Challenge Cup reaches the quarter-final stage with some intriguing matches.

Officials will be hoping that all the ties can go ahead although they will be cautious about the recent heavy frosts which might pose a problem or two.

Bentham entertain Rimington and with both sides going well in their respective leagues an intriguing match awaits.

Hellifield travel to Dent who are an unknown quantity to the Craven area but Hellifield, who are inconsistent, demolished their hosts last time the teams met with resounding 8-0 win and will be confident of progressing.

The match of the day takes place at Ingleton where the visitors are Skipton LMS.

Ingleton over the years have become formidable cup fighters and with home advantage Ingleton must start as favourites, however LMS have potential match winners in their ranks and if they produce their league form an upset could be on the cards.

A West Craven derby tie is at Kelbrook who host Barnoldswick Town seconds and as is generally the case respective league form counts for nothing when a derby match comes around.

In the Skipton Building Society Norman Pratt Trophy Gargrave Reserves replay their tie with Barnoldswick Town thirds.

After a 3-3 draw another close affair is anticipated, while there are local games between Bradley Reserves and Cononley Reserves, Skipton LMS Reserves and Embsay Reserves.

Rolls Royce travel to Rimington after being re-instated when their previous victors Bentham had played two un-registered players.

The only Morrison Cup tie is at Earby Town of Division Two who have a difficult tie with Premier side Grassington United.

Horton's match with Pendle Renegades has been postponed as Pendle have a County Cup match to play having had two successive postponements.

The Renegades have had to concede ground advantage and now travel to Swillington (Leeds) in an effort to play the match.
