More postponements hit an already depleted programme
AN already depleted Devonshire Carpets Craven League football programme was hit by postponements with only four games were known to have taken place last Saturday.
Skipton LMS hit nine goals past bottom club Bradley to take over the top spot in the Premier Division.
Ian Barnard led the way with four goals. Bradley tried manfully to stem the tide but capitulated after successfully defending for the first 20 minutes of each half.
Leading 3-0 at the break LMS scored at will despite missing many chances. Their goals came from Ian Craven (2) Kyle Telford, Mark Critchlow and the goal of the game following a length of the field move resulted in Steven Carling netting.
In Division Two Cononley Sports Reserves suffered a home defeat to Embsay Reserves with regular first team player Dave Greenwood taking advantage of a rebound to score the only goal.
Both Skipton Town sides played with the reserves hammered at home by Pendle Forest by 11-2.
Town were struggling to raise a side and with 54-year-old Dave Suter in goal they tried hard to combat a very strong Pendle Forest side strengthened by first team players.
Youngsters George Evans and Matt Brown were on target. The Town Youth team drew 3-3 at Cowling Reserves.
