New season set to begin

The new bowling season will be getting under way on Saturday with the Airedale and Wharfedale Saturday League starting.
Local side Skipton Devonshire are away at Rawdon A for their first match.
Next Saturday, April 12, sees the Worth Valley League start and the league's veterans get started on Monday, April 14.
The Worth Valley Merit will be held at Sutton on Sunday, April 20. Entries should be made to Keith Harrison, competition secretary, by Monday, April 7.
The Skipton and District League matches start on Tuesday, April 22, but the Johnson and Johnson Spring Floodlight individual competition and qualifying round will be held on Tuesday, April 15, with the final on Thursday, April 17.
Entries must be in by tomorrow for the draw to be made at Sunday's executive meeting held at Skipton Devonshire at 10.30am.
The Yorkshire Cup and Eric Hutchinson qualifying rounds take place on Saturday, April 19, with local clubs drawn as follows:
Yorkshire Cup: Skipton Devonshire v Cononley at Springwood Huddersfield, Asa Briggs v Crossroads at Almondbury BC, Skipton Broughton Rd v Spen Vic A at Akroydon Victoria.
Eric Hutchinson Cup: Skipton Whinfield v Horton Park A at Crossgates Rec, Skipton Craven v Brockholes at Old Town, Whitkirk v Cross Hills and District at Cowcliffe Libs, South Leeds Con v Settle at Rufford Park.
