Sir – Having a few minutes to spare in Skipton last week, I thought I would investigate the exact whereabouts of our expensive new Craven and North Yorkshire council offices.

Sir – Regarding the Thompsons Field development at Sutton in Craven, the two statutory bodies that can stop development on the site are North Yorkshire County Council Highways and Yorkshire Water.

Cafe should be closed

Sir – I wonder if Ben Price, finance director of Caffe Nero, (“Caffe Nero will appeal over refusal by Council”, Craven Herald, December 22) would mind if I popped into his establishment, currently operating in Skipton High Street, despite being refused planning permission, and helped myself to a couple of free buns and a cappuccino.
