NEEDHAM Joan (nee McMaster) Peacefully on September 9, at 100 years young! A non-traditional service to celebrate the life of Joan will be held at Tarn Moor Memorial Woodland, Skipton, on September 26, 2019 at 12.00 noon. Please meet at 11:30am in the Craven Heifer, Grassington Rd. for tea and coffee. Joan is survived by two sisters - Olive Simmons-Powell and Miriam Powell; a brother - Ted McMaster (Marge); three children - Malcolm, Janet (Nigel), and Margaret (George); son-in-law Philip and daughter-in-law Pauline, 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and one gt gt grandchild. She was preceded in death by husband Harold, daughter Helen, son Stuart and siblings Audrey, Robert, Ellen and Catherine. She enjoyed a celebration of her life on her 100th birthday, in Embsay. She will be remembered for her long service as a nurse, for her wit, humour, courage, sense of adventure and skill at scrabble. She "did it her way"!
