Notice under Article 13 of the Town & Country Planning
(Development Management Procedure) Order 2015, Section 67 & 73
of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990,
and Regulation 5 & 5A of the Planning (Listed Buildings and
Conservation Areas) Regulations 1990.
Craven District Council has received the following applications that are required to be
advertised it under the above legislation for the reasons stated.
Application No: 2019/21174/FUL. Proposal: Change of Use of former offices and
hairdressers to 6no residential (C3) flats, construction of first floor extension and
alterations for Howsons Ltd. Location: 39 Main Street Ingleton LA6 3EH Reason(s):
Affects the character and appearance of a Conservation Area.
Application No: 2019/21175/HH. Proposal: Retrospective rear garden room for Mr & Mrs
Smith. Location: 10 Whinfield Court Skipton BD23 2UY Reason(s): Affects the character
and appearance of a Conservation Area.
Application No: 2019/21144/HH. Proposal: Removal of damaged cement fibre wall and
roof cladding and replacement with Juniper Green plastisol-coated trapezoidal steel sheet
cladding – to two domestic workshop/store buildings for Mr Shaun Wood. Location: Stone
Head Farm Stone Head Lane Cowling BD22 0LZ Reason(s): Affects the setting of a
Listed Building.
Application No: 2019/21161/LBC. Proposal: Roofing repairs to concert hall within
Town Hall for Craven District Council. Location: Town Hall High Street Skipton BD23 1AH
Reason(s): Proposes works to a Listed Building.
Application No: 2019/21154/LBC. Proposal: Replacement window to rear for Mrs Lianne
Butler. Location: 8 Constitution Hill Settle BD24 9ER Reason(s): Proposes works to a
Listed Building.
Application No: 2019/21159/VAR. Proposal: Application to vary condition number 3 of
application reference number 45/2014/15198 granted 09 January 2015, to allow the use
of the property to be used for managerial purposes rather than for holiday accommodation
only for Steve Moorhouse. Location: The Stable Stackstead Farm Warth Lane Ingleton
Carnforth Reason(s): Would affect the route of a public right of way.
Application No: 2019/21156/VAR. Proposal: Application for removal of conditions 9, 10
and 11 and the re-wording of conditions 4, 5, 6, 8, 12, 19, 21 and 22 of application
reference number 2018/19441/VAR granted 01 November 2019 for Keyhaven Homes
Limited. Location: Land At North Parade Skipton BD23 2ST Reason(s): Does not accord
with the provisions of the development plan in force in the area in which the land to which
the application relates is situated. Would affect the route of a public right of way. Is a Major
Development proposal.
Application No: 2019/20927/FUL. Proposal: Re-roofing of mill, replacement of existing
timber windows and doors with powder coated aluminium windows and doors,
repainting of garage doors and lift shaft for Victoria Mills Skipton (Management). Location:
Victoria Mill Belmont Wharf Skipton Reason(s): Affects the character and appearance of
a Conservation Area. Affects the setting of a Listed Building.
Application No: 2019/21073/FUL. Proposal: Proposed demolition of existing buildings
and re-development of site to accommodate Council Depot building and light industrial
units, with access service areas and parking for Barnfield Construction Ltd. Location:
Locomotive Building Engine Shed Lane Skipton BD23 1UP Reason(s): Would affect the
route of a public right of way. Is a Major Development proposal.
Application No: 2019/21177/LBC. Proposal: Replacement of existing windows for
Mr D Claxton. Location: Lane Head Laithe Carleton Lane Carleton BD23 3HT Reason(s):
Proposes works to a Listed Building.
Application No: 2019/21118/LBC. Proposal: Replace existing PVC plastic windows with
wood for Simon & Fiona Greening. Location: Shackleton Ghyll Farm 121 Main Street
Cononley Reason(s): Proposes works to a Listed Building.
Application No: 2019/21182/LBC. Proposal: Part demolition and change of use of
granary buildings to holiday accommodation, glass house, minor extensions and
alterations, parking and access for Wellock Properties Ltd. Location: Granary Peel Green
Hellifield Reason(s): Proposes works to a Listed Building.
Application No: 2019/21181/LBC. Proposal: Demolition and replacement of Keepers
Cottage with holiday accommodation, cycle storage, off street parking, access and
associated works for Wellock Property Ltd. Location: Keepers Cottage Peel Green
Hellifield BD23 4LD Reason(s): Proposes works to a Listed Building.
The applications are available to view and for comment online at https://publicaccess.
cravendc.gov.uk/online-applications or electronically at 1 Belle Vue Square, Broughton
Road, Skipton, BD23 1FJ.
Representations can also be sent in writing to Development Management, 1 Belle Vue
Square, Broughton Road, Skipton, BD23 1FJ so as to arrive no later than 19th December
2019. All comments received will be available for public inspection and will be viewable
on the internet along with the application details. However, we will endeavour to prevent
signatures, telephone numbers and email addresses from appearing on the comments
published on the internet.
In the event of an appeal against a refusal of planning permission for a householder
(HH) application, that is considered on the basis of representations in writing. Any
representations made will be sent to the Secretary of State and there will be no further
opportunity to comment at the appeal stage.
Decisions are normally made within eight weeks (11 to 13 weeks for major planning
applications). Details of the decision will not automatically be sent to those that have
