Notice under Article 13 of the Town & Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) Order 2015,
Section 67 & 73 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990, and Regulation 5 & 5A of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Regulations 1990.
Craven District Council has received the following
applications that are required to be advertised it under the
above legislation for the reasons stated.
Application No: 2020/21632/HH. Proposal: Construction
of garden room rear extension for Mr Mrs Crane.
Location: 8 Canal Street Skipton BD23 1LB Reason(s): Is
a proposal for demolition of an unlisted building in a
Conservation Area. Affects the character and appearance
of a Conservation Area. Affects the setting of a Listed
Building.
Application No: 2020/21633/HH. Proposal: Singlestorey
rear extension with part first-floor extension over
for Mr Alistair Fothergill. Location: 14 Elm Tree Square
Embsay BD23 6RA Reason(s): Affects the character and
appearance of a Conservation Area.
Application No: 2020/21594/FUL. Proposal: Proposed
replacement dwelling to rebuild existing house and
attached agricultural store and stables, conversion of
existing outhouse stone store to garage with small
extension and diversion of existing public footpath for
Mr & Mrs Wilkinson. Location: East Berwick Farm
Berwick East Draughton BD23 6DX Reason(s): Would
affect the route of a public right of way. Affects the setting
of a Listed Building. Affects the character and appearance
of a Conservation Area.
Application No: 2020/21514/FUL. Proposal: Conversion
and extension of former NatWest Bank to form 2
residential properties and associated external works for
Mrs Leanne Mercer. Location: National Westminster Bank
Station Road High Bentham Lancaster LA2 7LF
Reason(s): Does not accord with the provisions of the
development plan in force in the area in which the land
to which the application relates is situated.

Representations can also be sent in writing to

2nd July 2020. All comments received will be available
for public inspection and will be viewable on the
internet along with the application details. However,
we will endeavour to prevent signatures, telephone
numbers and email addresses from appearing on the
comments published on the internet.
In the event of an appeal against a refusal of planning
permission for a householder (HH) application, that is
considered on the basis of representations in writing. Any
representations made will be sent to the Secretary of
State and there will be no further opportunity to comment
at the appeal stage.
Decisions are normally made within eight weeks (11 to 13
weeks for major planning applications). Details of the
decision will not automatically be sent to those that have
