YORKSHIRE DALES NATIONAL PARK AUTHORITY (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) (FOOTPATH NO. 8 (part), CARLTON HIGHDALE) ORDER 2020 No. 1 Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 -Section 14(1) (as amended) Notice is hereby given that the above Order made by the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority on 2 March, 2020, the effect of which is to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along part of Footpath No. 8 from the point of closure at GR SE 0510 8143 for a distance of approximately 12 metres to GR SE 0511 8143 in the Parish of Carlton Highdale in the district of Richmondshire from 13 March, 2020 until 20 August, 2020 inclusive, owing to the collapse of the bridge, has been continued in force under Section 15(5) of the above Act, with the approval ofthe Secretary of State for Transport, Local Government and the Regions for a period of 6 months until 20 February, 2021 or until the completion of the works, whichever is earlier. The closure will be continued in effect by the erection of notices and signs.
There is no unrestricted, suitable off-road alternative route to be used during the closure period. The nearest river crossing is via the road bridge at Arkleside GR SE 0445 8081. Dated 14 August, 2020 Clare Bevan (Solicitor),
