NORTH YORKSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (PROHIBITION OF WAITING AND LOADING AND PROVISION OF PARKING) (DISTRICT OF CRAVEN) (AMENDMENT NO 15) ORDER 2018
NOTICE is hereby given that North Yorkshire County Council proposes to
make an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(2), 32(1) and 35(1) of the
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act
and under the Traffic Management Act 2004, the effect of which will be to
amend “North Yorkshire County Council (Prohibition of Waiting and Loading
and Provision of Parking) (District of Craven) Consolidation Order 2013”
by introducing disabled persons’ parking bays in the locations specified
below:- Carleton-in-Craven: Vicar’s Row (North Side, parallel to the kerb line)
– From a point opposite the boundary between Nos 3 and 4, to a point 6.6
metres west; Cononley: Meadow Lane (North Side, parallel to the kerb line)
– From a point 28 metres west of Meadow Croft, to a point 6.6 metres west;
Cowling: Walton Street (South West Side, parallel to the kerb line) – From a
point opposite the boundary between Nos 10 and 12, to a point 6.6 metres
south east; Cross Hills: Ash Street (West Side, parallel to the kerb line) –
From a point opposite the boundary between Nos 10 and 12, to a point 6.6
metres north; Victoria Road (North Side, parallel to the kerb line) – From a
point 3 metres west of a point opposite the eastern gable of No 6, to a point
6.6 metres east; Embsay: Dalacres Crescent (East Side, parallel to the kerb
line) – From a point 3 metres north of a point in line with the northern gable
of Nos 16/18, to a point 6.6 metres south; High Bentham: Lakeber Avenue
(West Side, parallel to the kerb line) – From the southern extremity of the
cul-de-sac fronting 1 Grasmere Drive, to a point 6.6 metres north; Skipton:
Broughton Road (South Side, parallel to the kerb line) – From a point 3
metres west of a point in line with the eastern gable of No. 21, to a point
6.6. metres west; Princes Crescent (North Side, parallel to the kerb line)
– From a point 8 metres north of Otley Road, to a point 6.6 metres west;
Princes Drive (South East Side, parallel to the kerb line) – From a point 4
metres north east of the boundary between Nos 1 and 1a, to a point 6.6
metres north east. A copy of the draft Order, together with maps showing
the roads affected and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing
to make the Order may be inspected at County Hall, Northallerton and at
Bentham Community Library, Pioneer Projects, Looking Well Studios, King
Street, High Bentham LA2 7HG; Skipton Library, High Street, Skipton, North
Yorkshire BD23 1JX and South Craven Community Library, Main Street,
Cross Hills, Keighley BD20 8TQ during normal office hours from 17/05/18
until 08/06/18 and also viewed online at www.northyorks.gov.uk/notices. If
you wish to object to the proposed Order, you should send the grounds for
your objection, in writing, addressed to “Area 5 Highways Office, Snaygill
Industrial Estate, Keighley Road, Skipton, North Yorkshire BD23 2QR” or by

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic and Temporary 40 MPH Speed
Restriction, Various Roads in the District of Craven, Order 2018, no. 214
We intend to make this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using the following
roads for varying periods of between 1 & 5 days on up to 4 occasions at
each location due to surface dressing works. This Order will also prohibit
any vehicle from proceeding in excess of 40mph to be applied when
necessary - the restriction will be put into effect by notices and signs:
1. A6068 Skipton Road, Glusburn
2. B6265 New Road to divisional boundary
3. B6479 Horton-in-Ribblesdale to Ribblehead
4. C393 Raybridge Lane, Gargrave to Kirkby Malham
5. C236, Beamsley
6. C272 Burnsall village to Stangs Lane
7. C395 Conistone Back Lane, Grassington
8. C396 Conistone village to B6160
9. C390 Settle to Kirkby Malham
10. C244 Hellifield to Airton
11. U1908 Skirfare Bridge to Arncliffe
12. Brackenley Lane, Embsay
13. U2242 Skirethorns Lane to Bordley, Threshfield
14. Gryesdale Lane, Threshfield
15. Park Lane, Carleton-in-Craven
16. West Lane, Sutton-in-Craven
17. Henside Road, Stainforth
18. Jackson Lane, Bradley
19. High Bradley Lane, Bradley
20. Greengate Lane, Long Preston
21. A65 - B6480 to Newby
22. A65 - Skirbeck Farm to Mearbeck Farm, Settle

24. A56 - Thornton in Craven
The maximum duration of the Order will be from 04/06/18 until 31/12/18
inclusive.
The closures will be put into effect by notices and signs and a local
alternative route will be signed on site. Pedestrian access to premises
will be maintained at all times and vehicular access to premises will be
maintained whenever possible.
