SIR - I write as Chairman of St Alkelda’s Church, Giggleswick Parochial Church Council (PCC) in response to a letter from Mr M Symons ('Sadness on jungle at historic church', July 19) regarding his dissatisfaction with our churchyard and his difficulty in locating his family grave.
SIR – I write in response to M Symons’ letter of July 19 about the overgrown and untidy state of St Alkelda’s churchyard ('Sadness at jungle at historic church').
SIR - The management of churchyards is contentious and a regular complaint is that long grass causes falls and prevents the placing of flowers and the search for inscriptions
SIR - I am writing regarding St Alkelda's churchyard in Giggleswick.
SIR - It is with a great deal of sadness combined with anger that I learn that both the Yorkshire Dales National Park (YDNP) and the RSPB have withdrawn their objections to the development of a holiday park on the Hellifield Flashes.
SIR - I write in response to the rejection of the Skipton Mayor's proposal to include white poppies in the Remembrance Sunday wreath ('White poppies bid by Mayor rejected', front page and comment, June 21)
SIR - I just had to put pen to paper to say, what a magnificent performance of 'Tunstill's Men' by Skipton Academy at the Grassington Festival.
SIR - It's very concerning that the public consultation on the re-alignment of the A59 at Kex Gill is being held in Norwood, implying that this is a very local issue, rather than a strategic regional one.
SIR - I have been lucky enough once again to be a member of the cast (aged 13 to 81) for the latest production of Tunstill's Men which we were privileged to stage at Grassington Festival.
