TWO Yorkshire PR and communications companies have joined forces to help local businesses promote themselves locally, nationally, and across the globe.

Boxkik and Moule Media will work together to provide clients with full service strategic communications – traditional PR, social media, crisis communications, marketing materials and coaching.

Boxkik is owned by Tony Maguire, a former industrial correspondent for The Sun and the Evening Standard. He left Fleet Street to run a business showing executives how to handle the media.

Tony has worked with the most senior people in firms ranging from Shell to McDonald’s and Rothmans to Tesco.

But his main experience is in the transport and infrastructure sector where he’s worked as Communications Director for London Underground, Balfour Beatty and Laing O’Rourke.

Moule Media is owned by Robin Moule, who worked in local and regional newspapers for three decades, also developing a taste for PR through a stint with a national brewery’s public relations department.

He set up Moule Media in Skipton 20 years ago and works with clients across many sectors, including Skipton-based CCM Auctions and Northern Paper Board, Keybury Fire and Security in Keighley, and leading north of England butchers, among them Lishman’s of Ilkley.

He also handles the event management and PR for the annual Great Yorkshire Pork Pie, Sausage and Products Competition.

Working with both companies is Jenny Cornish, a former chief political correspondent for local newspapers. She has worked as a freelance journalist, PR and social media expert for the last eight years, working with Mirror Online, ITV, Dentsu Aegis Network and AOL among others.

Tony Maguire said: “Small and large enterprises here have so much to celebrate, but too often their success is kept secret. We want to help make sure they communicate well to get the recognition they deserve.”

Robin Moule said: “This new partnership is positive and forward looking. Firms and organisations across this great county of ours can benefit from the combined strength and experience of both companies.”
