WHY BURGH BY SANDS The village has an active community and good amenity in the form of a playing field, public house serving food and a primary school. The location is rather special being close to the Solway Coast well known for its migrating birdlife and on the route of Hadrian's Wall National Trail. It is conveniently placed for access to Carlisle, the M6 and Lake District. It is notable as the place where Edward I of England died (Burgh Marsh) in 1307 and his body was kept in the church for three months before the final resting place in Westminster Abbey. St Michael's Church was built late in the 12th Century with stone from Hadrian's Wal on the site of a Norman church.


DESCRIPTION Wallgarth is a lovely family home with private gardens, enjoying an excellent setting and fine open views to the rear. The accommodation flows well and in particular the living areas are generous. There is space for sitting and dining in the large living room, and six windows to the south and east elevations flood the room with natural light.
