SKIPTON: Limehouse Lizzy, a tribute to Celtic rock icon Philip Lynott and his band Thin Lizzy, will perform in The Mart Theatre at 7.30pm on Saturday, April 1.

The award-winning band have also added a tribute into their show to ex-Thin Lizzy guitarist Gary Moore.

Comedian Dave Spikey will perform his Juggling on a Motorbike show in The Mart Theatre at 7.30pm on Thursday, April 13.

Dave, a former biomedical scientist in the NHS, is celebrating the 30th anniversary of his comedy career.

Skipton Players will perform the psychological drama Iron by Rona Munro from April 18 to 22nd at Skipton Little Theatre, on Clifford Street.

Rona Munro’s production of Iron is a set in a women’s prison and tells the story of a mother and daughter who try to break through the barriers of time, memory and punishment which separate them. This contains adult language and is not considered suitable for children.

Settle Orchestra will perform its next concert, Brahms' A German Requiem, with the Langcliffe Singers at 7.30pm on Saturday at Christ Church in Skipton.

Brahms’ A German Requiem is a large-scale work for chorus, orchestra, a soprano and a baritone soloist.

It was composed between 1865 and 1868, comprises seven movements and was Brahms’s longest composition.

It is sacred but non-liturgical and is a Requiem in the German language.

The concert opens with Schumann’s powerfully melodramatic Manfred.

Elspeth Slorach is the conductor for Settle Orchestra and Langcliffe Singers are directed by Nigel Waugh.

The Skipton Building Society Camerata will perform Bach’s St John Passion in a Good Friday concert at Skipton Town Hall at 7.30pm on Friday, April 14.

This oratorio was first performed in Leipzig, Germany, on Good Friday in 1724 and tells the story of the passion/crucifixion of Christ based on the gospel of St John.

The orchestra will be conducted by Ben Crick with soloists including tenor Richard Rowe as the Evangelist and baritone Mark Saberton as Christ.

The will be supported by Joanne Dexter (soprano), Melanie Lodge (alto) and Nicholas Sales (tenor) and the Clothworkers Consort choir from Leeds.

Tickets cost £20, £18 for over 60s, £9 for ages 18 to 25 and £4 for under 18s.

The exhibition Stepping Into View will be on display at Craven Museum and Gallery until the end of March.

The exhibition will display photographs taken by a local group of adults with learning disabilities, detailing everyday life in Skipton.

The gallery in Skipton Town Hall is open every day except Sundays, from 10am to 4pm.

Skipton Film Club will screen the film Rams at 5.15pm on Sunday, April 2, in the Plaza Cinema, on Sackville Street.

A short film by local filmmakers will start the evening.

Skipton Folk Unplugged will host the trio, The Trials of Cato, starting at 8.30pm on Monday at the Narrow Boat, on Victoria Street. There will be a singers night on Monday, April 3.

SETTLE: Moments Captured in Stitch, an exhibition by Cate Holland, will be on display at the Gallery on the Green until May 13.

Local artist and former art teacher Cate takes as her theme for the exhibition the concept of waiting for the release that spring brings after a season of being caged in.

Peter Pan, the latest production by Settle Amateur Operatic Society’s junior group, will be staged in the Settle Victoria Hall at 7pm tonight and tomorrow.

Settle Stories will present Bed Among the Lentils at 7.30pm on Friday, March 31, in the Royal Oak.

Canadian storyteller Olivia Olsen brings one of Alan Bennett's most revered monologues to life.

The story is about a nervous vicar's wife who has a vision of God at the local off-licence.

BARNOLDSWICK: The Credence Clearwater Revival Review will perform a free concert on Saturday, April 1, at the Barnoldswick Music and Arts Centre, 18-22 Rainhall Road. Doors opens at 7.30pm.

The tribute band, featuring Peter Barton, Geoff Hammond, Graham Pollock and Scott Whitley, will perform many of the Southern rock band's classic hits which include Proud Mary, Bad Moon Rising, Up Around The Bend, Travelling Band, Suzi Q, Green River, Have You Ever Seen the Rain and Fortunate Son.

Geoff Achison and the UK Souldiggers will perform in concert on Thursday, April 6,. Doors open at 7.30pm and the concert begins at 8pm.

Along with Geoff, members of the Souldiggers include drummer Sam Kelly, keyboardist Paul Jobson and bassman Andy Hodge.

CONONLEY: Cononley Cinema Club will screen the BAFTA award winning I, Daniel Blake, at 7.30pm on Sunday at Cononley Village Institute.
