ACOUSTIC roots duo Mambo Jambo are bringing their original mix of world music, folk and jazz to Skipton Town Hall on Sunday, November 26.

The talented pair play over ten instruments between them and take their audience on an enjoyable and intriguing journey, mixing sounds from around the world with their own compositions.

Their repertoire draws in a wide range of styles that include Bluegrass, Latin and Caribbean, New Orleans, Balkan and more. Blending all of these influences they create an upbeat rhythmic and rootsy sound all of their own.

Mambo Jambo features Frankie on sax, vocals, clarinet, flute, guitar and percussion and Pete on guitar, vocal, ukulele, tres (traditional Cuban guitar), banjo, accordion and suitcase.

Danielle Daglan, programming and venue development manager at Craven District Council, said: “We’re really excited to welcome Mambo Jambo to Skipton Town Hall. They are regulars at festivals, tour nationally and wow audiences all around the world so we’re really lucky to have them here in Skipton.”

The concert takes place at 7.30pm on Sunday, November 26.

Tickets cost £8 and £6 for under 18s, and are available on 01756 792809, online at and from the box office in the Skipton Tourist Information Centre, Skipton Town Hall, which is open from 10am to 4pm Monday to Saturday.
